THE AMENTA Completing Work On Debut Album
March 17, 2004Australian extreme metallers THE AMENTA are finishing up the recording of their debut album, "Ocassus", under the guidance of Lachlan Mitchell, keyboardist for legendary Australian black metal terrorists NAZXUL. The CD is being recorded at Sydney's Cue Studios, with the drum tracks for the album currently nearing completion. "Ocassus" will contain 11 tracks and will have an approximate running time of 45 minutes. Songtitles from the album include "Zero", "Erebus", "Geilt", "Sangre", "Mictlan" and "Ennea". According to the band's label, Listenable Records, the album "combines a wide variety of influences from across the extreme music spectrum, drawing influence from black and death metal as well as noise, industrial and electronic music." A late May release is expected.
